JOURNALIST

Lisa Hix (she/her) is a versatile, enterprising journalist with a knack for developing articles and headlines that engage a broad audience, draw clicks and diversify the reader base. She's known to have the emotional intelligence to write features that resonate, manage writing teams and explain grammatical errors. She's adept with detail, insistent on accuracy and able to think quickly on her feet in high-pressure assignments.

 

Currently, she's the copy chief for The San Francisco Standard. The former arts and culture editor at Local News Matters and longtime senior editor of Collectors Weekly, she's also worked for Yahoo, Flavorpill and The San Francisco Chronicle. Her writing has appeared in Teen Vogue, Glamour, KQED Arts, Ms. Magazine and Gizmodo.
